Stampin Up Roommate Gifts for Convention 2015

Hello again

Right now I am on the Gold Coast, Queensland for the 2015 Annual Stampin Up Convention…and by now my beautiful roommates have received their special Stampin Up Convention Roommate gifts from me and I can share a little bit of them with you without spoiling the surprise.  I am attending the Stampin Up Convention with Monica and Laura, who are both part of my wonderful team  ‘Heartfelt Creators’, along with my effervescent friend Norelle and her team.

So along with coffee and perhaps a little wine, I felt some gifts were in order – especially since Norelle has her birthday a few days after our convention. 🙂

At every Stampin’ Up Convention I have been to, I have always taken lots of notes, so what better gift than a personalised note book and pen.  I absolutely adore the Something Borrowed Designer Series paper from our current Occasions Catalogue…I have teamed it with Sahara Sand and Blushing Bride with a touch of Vellum for the butterfly as well.

Here is a close up of the Burlap Ribbon and the Butterflies…

In their gifts I have included a pair of our Paper Snips with a little scissor charm that I made, and also a tag box with a handbag holder in it…

Below are the items used to decorate the note books…This would make a great gift for a Teacher as well…

Thanks for stopping by…I will have lots of information from Convention coming soon so hope we can chat again soon. xx

Bokeh Thank You Card…

Hello Again!

Today I am sharing with you the Bokeh Thank You card that we recently did at our monthly class, and I must admit I made the ladies who came along work hard this time.  To begin with we played with a new technique that is popping up everywhere called Bokeh…I love this technique and have tried it with a few different colour combinations.  But for our class we used Bermuda Bay…

Bokeh Thank You Card

Bokeh Thank You Card

To create this effect, we first sponged our Whisper White card with Bermuda Bay ink…Then after we cut a template from a window sheet we sponged White Craft ink over the top to create the circles…our sponge daubers finished off the background creating the smallest sized circles on the background…There are a few ways to do the Bokeh effect including with water colour paper and colour but this proved to be faster for the class situation.

Then we attacked the Tea Bag Folding….I must say the final result is rather impressive but it was a bit fiddly to start with…Again, with Tea Bag folding there are many ways to fold and position each piece but we went with a basic fold to start with….A lot commented that this would be a great Christmas idea or as a decoration on a box.

I hope you like our Bokeh Thank you card and give both of these techniques a go – I know you will love them…

Off to pack my bags for Convention now…but in the meantime, here are the products we used in this card…

Holiday Fun…

Well we are almost at the end of our Easter School Holidays here and yesterday was the last of the Kids Classes.  It was so much fun teaching the little ones and I must say not only were they crafty, but just well mannered awesome boys and girls.

Our theme this week was Mother’s Day and we made 3 projects – but unfortunately I only have photos of two of them…

We used the Fry Box die and altered it to make a cute little bag filled with chocolates and also a hot chocolate satchet as well…Although from all reports I think the chocolates may not have made it past the end of day yesterday. 🙂

The tag on the bag of choccies was created with the Artisan Label punch and a couple of hearts from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit.

We used the remaining hearts on the card.  The ‘i heart u’ sentiment is from Label Card Thinlit set and the ‘xoxo’ on the bag is from the Circle Card Thinlit set…Lots of great accessories in both of those sets.

Mini Treat Bag Envelope…

In one of my recent classes, we used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die to create a vellum ‘envelope’ for a cute little note card.  Everyone was suprised to see how many extra ‘accessory’ dies are also included in the set.

We used the Flower Patch Stamp Set on the note card and then teamed it up with the Flower Fair Framelits Dies to create the belly band around the envelope.  And the Burlap Ribbon is quickly becoming a class favourite as well.

We also utilised the masking technique for the note card.

Bonus Bundles…

What’s better than finding coordinating products? That’s right-getting coordinating products at a discount! We’re offering five bonus bundles at 15 percent off retail, only available 1 April-17 April. You will love these hand-selected products, and it’s undeniable that they simply belong together. Plus, they’re perfect for making creativity easy and fun, but hurry! These amazing bundles won’t be around forever.

Christmas Cafe Gift Bag

Wow…what a year – I can’t believe it has been one year since my poor blog has had some loving…Well I hope now I can change that.

While my blog may not have seen any attention I can assure you that I have been crafting away any chance I got.  Classes have still be running and so with that I thought I would start by sharing some of the things we have been making recently…

Christmas Cafe Bag

This is a super cute little gift bag, perfect for filling with home made Christmas treats and goodies.  Perfect for teachers or neighbours.

And how beautiful is the Sheer Linen Ribbon – it sits so perfectly in a bow.

Sunburst Birthday…

Hello! I am back!

Firstly I am sorry I haven’t been around for so long – life has been hectic to say the least but rest assured I have been creating in the background…

So today I thought I would pop in and quickly share with you a card that I whipped up for a little friend of one of my girls.  The starburst or sunburst technique is popping up all over the place lately and came in real handy for this birthday card.

I was really pleased with how easily it came together and have since tried it with Designer Series Paper as well.
