Today is my cousin’s little girls birthday and we are off to lunch with her so of course we need a beautiful birthday card for a beautiful little girl who is 8 today…Oh my how fast do kids grow up?

So this morning (yes I know – nothing like the last minute) I whipped up this card…

Now these cute little dresses have been around for quite some time and I was chatting with a lovely customer the other day who requested that I demo this for her…so of course I grabbed my Scallop Die and had a play…Both my girls have given it the thumbs up so I hope Miss Monica loves it too…

I can’t wait to share this with the ladies on Friday…they are sooooo much fun to make…Rather Summery don’t you think? Perfect for our Queensland weather at the moment too…

I wanted the cards to be clean and simple in their design and I often see white on white cards that I just love and so thought this might be a good place to start.  So I had my basic idea but needed a stamp to add. That’s when I remembered the Stylish Star from the Summer Mini.  It is a cute little star and is one of the a la carte stamps in the mini.

So here is what I came up with – first in pink…

I heat embossed the Stylish Star in silver and then mounted it on the Silver Glimmer paper also from the Mini (love that paper) and then mounted that all on some Pretty in Pink card stock.  For this card I embossed the background with Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Here is the second card…

For this one I used the Stripes embossing folder and Marina Mist.  Also I should mention that I did actually forget to take photos before giving these to Kim so a  big Thank You to Kim for sending me the pics so I could share them with you.

But before things get too crazy around here, I wanted to take the time to say a big Thank You to all of the wonderful people who have supported me this year by coming to my classes, holding home demonstrations and the like.  I really enjoy doing what I do and love that I can share it all with you. And of course, I hope to see you all again next year.

So my wish for you all this year, is to have a Very Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring you the very best for 2012, but above all, please stay safe over the holidays especially if you are traveling.

Today I would like to share with you a little craft that I did with my two girls and some of their friends from school…Last Tuesday we had an end of year Tea Party and we started with some crafting time of course…

Now this idea is not mine, I found it on the wonderfully talented Dawn’s site…She has a great video for these cute little Star Ornaments…

Not bad for a seven year old…And I am pleased to say that she even helped the younger girls with the trickier folds too…

The DSP that we used for these stars is ‘Cheerful Treat’ from the hostess section in the current Ideas Book & Catalogue and it is one of my favourites…the girls loved it too…

Today I would like to share with you a little gift card holder that I just love…Now this has been around for quite some time and I rediscovered it a little while ago when I was going through some old swaps.  My Demo Sister (Desley) shared this idea at a get together we had quite some time ago…I would guess about 2 years ago…I have also seen it on various blogs as well so I can’t take credit for the layout…however here are some versions that I have made just recently…

This one is the one that I had made for my Regional Swap back in November….

And here it is opened…You have two sides to write any messages to your recipient…

We have also made this at a few of my classes lately and here is a picture of the class version with my Regional Version…

And finally, remember my Santa Belly Pillow Box from my last post…well here it is as a gift card holder…

So there you have it…Four photos today! Must be a record I think…I should also mention that I have even had a report of one lovely customer/friend who has recreated this holder for a larger gift certificate…so it can be used for all sorts of vouchers.

Today I wanted to share with you a super cute variation to the pillow box…I have called this one the Santa Belly Pillow Box.

These are just so cute and simple to make…Santa’s buckle and buttons have been made with the Silver Glimmer paper from the Summer Mini Catalogue.  I have to say I love that paper! Who doesn’t love bling right?

I have also used the new 1 inch Square punch from the mini to make the buckle and the stitching is done with the white gel pen.

Well I hope you like this cute little box…great for those candy canes or little chocolates for the Christmas table.

I have been working on it for a little while and I should point out that it is still a work in progress as I am NO I.T. guru…but I did want to point out a couple of new features.

This weekend both of my girls had a birthday party to attend so that meant two birthday cards were needed…Thankfully for two lovely little girls…So I decided that the time was right to start cutting into what would be one of my favourite paper packs from this catalogue…Cheerful Treat…This is one of the Hostess Exclusive products which means you have to host a qualifying demonstration to be able to purchase it…And that is the easy part…the hard part is cutting into it!

Ok so here is my card…

I have used the Heart  Treat Cups and have filled it with some glitter and little flowers cut from the DSP and Melon Mambo cardstock.

I did show this card to a very good friends little girl and she has put in an order for one ‘just the same as this one’ for her little friends birthday next month…The great thing about this card is that it is a quick and easy one…
